Onagam/Wonagam(Sonagam)- The paradise in Paradise

The village is really paradise in paradise...The most beautiful village i have ever seen in Kashmir.

Surrounded by a mountain called Ball-lobur or boyinaar... where you can have a view of whole town bandipore.
Onagam is divided by equally into two parts by a canal called Nehr Zangeir, A 4 to 10 feet deep canal with amost 25 ft breadth. It is one of the important irrigation channel in this area.

Having two beautiful waterfalls , which give a charming look to it.







The village is surrounded by mountains and it forms a valley within valley.
There is almost 80% literacy in this village with 5 PhD's in (Economics, Political Science, Botany, Zoology and Bio-Chemistry)

Onagam is almost the largest village in District Bandipore, We have 11 Masjids in this village including two Jamia Masjid's
